One of my favorite historical figures has always been Winston Churchill. In Britain’s darkest hours, he motivated and inspired a nation to beat back the Axis Powers, and that was after he had been exiled from the British government. Churchill persevered and showed tremendous resiliency. That same type of resiliency is what is needed in one’s job search. Making a job change and or finding a new job is, as we have said, not easy. It requires energy, effort, enthusiasm, and persistence. The quotes below I have found particularly inspiring and motivating when you have lost your job or in need of a better opportunity. They are all quotes from Winston Churchill.

“Never, never, never give up.”
“Continuous effort, not strength or intelligence, is the key to unlocking our potential.”
“Attitude is a little thing that makes a big difference.”
“To improve is to change; to be perfect is to change often.”
“The pessimist sees difficulty in every opportunity. The optimist sees the opportunity in every difficulty.”
“It is no use saying, we are doing our best. You have to got to succeed in doing what is necessary.”
“Everyone has his day and some days last longer than others.”
“I never worry about actions, but only about inaction.”
“I am always ready to learn, although I do not always like being taught.”
Good luck, and good effort!
